One Eleven Art Gallery announces a Sidewalk Extravaganza on Saturday, May 16, 9-3pm and a Call to all TAA Artists who would like to participate in the first ever Riverview Village Business District Sidewalk Extravaganza community event. This vital business district is proudly sponsoring local charities. Selected artists will be able to display and sell their art on the grounds of One Eleven Art Gallery free of charge. Set up morning of event only. Participating artists are requested to donate 10% of event art sales to Tidewater Art Alliance. Limited exhibit space. Welcome to the Tidewater Art Alliance (TAA) Blog!
The mission of the Tidewater Art Alliance is to support, promote and develop the visual arts in the Tidewater Area of Southeastern Virginia. This includes encouraging communications about the visual arts among the artists, the art organizations, governments, and the public. The alliance also undertakes programs and exhibitions, which advance the visual arts and their role in daily life.
Members of the alliance are serious in their interests in developing, improving, supporting, assisting and contributing to the artistic growth of fellow artists, the regional cultural life and themselves.
